Mr. Nimoy.  A jack of many trades and master of them all-- actor, photographer, director, producer, writer, poet, musician, and I'm sure the list goes on.  However, the one thing that stands at the top of this list would be "Eternal Friend/Brother/Father/Mentor to everyone" for it was he who taught the world through himself and his characters the true meaning of brotherly love and friendship with his own love, wisdom, and humor.  And of course, as it was his life long mission, he taught the world to 'Live Long and Prosper'.  I thank him as we all should for his trades.  We shall indeed LLaP.

I became a Trekkie only two months after his passing.  Many times after I started to love Star Trek, I kept looking up and prayed to Mr. Nimoy to forgive me for becoming a fan of his too late.  But I found out later that I was truly am forgiven by him for it turned out that I had always been a fan of him and I barely realized it.  Ever since I was two, I had always loved the film 'Three Men and a Baby' and I was in college when I realized it was Mr. Nimoy who directed the film.  Around that same time I realized that he was also the voice of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde in the film 'The Pagemaster' which happens to be one of my favorite scenes in the movie and I did always love his voice as the king in Disney's 'Atlantis The Lost Empire'.  Then I loved his cameo in an episode of 'The Simpsons' (the show which I grew to love while in college) and then of course, I loved those 'Priceline' commercials he appeared in with William Shatner back at the time.

So, it turned out that I was always a fan of him.  I had only just become of a fan his character Spock for the first time two months after his death.

Therefore, as he would put it, I have been and always shall be his fan.
RIP, Mr. Nimoy.
